Thank you

for your interest!

Thank you for your interest in From Operational to Strategic Global Mobility, I am genuinely glad to have you here. This book is the argument I've been making in workshops and consulting rooms for years, finally written down properly, and hopefully it gives you something to actually use, not just something to nod along to. More to come as the October launch gets closer.

Soon you will find an excerpt from Chapter 6 here.

This chapter sits roughly halfway through the book, right after the argument for why Global Mobility needs to change, and before the practical work of building a strategic function begins. It's where the book stops talking about frameworks and starts talking about the people actually living the moves — including some who look, on paper, like they should have been the easiest cases.

In Chapter 6

The People Behind the Process

A relocation looks like a business decision on an approval form. For the employee, it rarely feels like one.

Why the Best Performer Isn't Always the Best Expat

Technical excellence of employees at home predicts much less than you'd think about success abroad.

Who Actually Owns the Experience

Employees don't see HR, Global Mobility, and Payroll as separate departments. They see one organization.

Coming
October 2026

The whole book is in the final stages of production right now. Cover, interior layout, the proofing, all the unglamorous work that happens right before something's actually ready to put in front of people. My designer is finishing the last pages, the cover's going through its final rounds, and every piece is getting the attention it needs before any of it goes live.

I'm genuinely excited to get this in front of you. Every round of edits and every design pass has pushed the book closer to something I'm proud to put my name on, rather than something rushed out just to have it done.

So please bear with me a little longer. It won't be much longer, and it'll be worth it. The moment any of it is ready it goes up here first, before anywhere else.

What others say about the book

"Global Mobility is at an incredibly exciting point of change, and this book challenges us to think bigger about where our profession goes next. The chapter The Human Side of Mobility and Part III, Building Strategic Mobility, particularly stood out for me as they bring together people, relationships, judgement and commercial thinking that I believe will define the future of Global Mobility."
